BMW.de banned from Google for use of Doorway Pages

Google has banned BMW.de from its index for what Google views as an illegal use of doorway pages. You can read the story on Electric Network News, here.

"Doorway pages are an attempt to show one keyword rich page to the search engines and another page to the user. Therefore, they affect the relevance of the search engine results and are considered to be a form of 'spamdexing'. Google have effectively removed the bmw.de website from its index by applying a Google Pagerank of zero to the website."
