Paid Search to Reach $566M in 2006
Paid search spending will climb to $566 million this year, reflecting 26 percent growth from 2005, according to a new report by eMarketer. But that growth rate represents a decrease from earlier in the decade; paid search grew by 174 percent in 2003, 51 percent in 2004, and 33 percent last year, according to the report, "Search Marketing I: Spending and Metrics."
eMarketer also predicted that growth will continue to decelerate through the end of the decade, falling to around 12 percent in 2010.
