Both Large & Small Mortgage Providers Active Online

A recent study by Interactive Return identified the most active mortgage providers online.  This report also highlighted the most highly searched terms by Internet users in Ireland and the UK in relation to mortgages.

The beauty of being active online is the low barrier to entry. Any business with a website can immediately target their desired audience effectively and efficiently. The same applies to the mortgage industry. This study demonstrates the reality that both large and small mortgage providers are using an online presence to effectively target potential customers, whether via an organic search marketing campaign or a paid sponsored listings campaign.

The top ten ranking mortgage sites were created by Interactive Return to highlight this.  Many mortgage companies are striving to perform well on search engines both organically and through paid advertising.  For example, Permanent TSB has a significant presence in Google.ie in both the organic and sponsored listings for highly searched mortgage-related terms. 

On the other hand, some mortgage providers concentrate on either organic or sponsored campaigns. According to our ranking table, one such company that is performing well organically is First Active, but they either aren't involved in any sponsored listing campaign or aren't bidding competitively enough on keyterms to appear in the top ten. Alternatively, MortgagePlus.ie is relying on a sponsored listings campaign as they aren't appearing in the top ten organic positions in Google.ie.

Although a sponsored listings campaign is excellent for increasing a website's visibility instantly, it is more beneficial and cost-effective to rank highly in a search engine's organic listings for terms related to your website offering. However a presence in both guarantees strong search engine visibility.
