MSN have further upgraded their services adding in a range of new account features.
These include:
- Instant Editorial Feedback
- Now only one editorial email per account per day
- Improved speed- campaign updates can go live faster
- Flexible budgeting
- Substitute default dynamic text
Of all the new services available from MSN, some of the big advantages for advertisers are that they now have more control over budgets by being able to set them daily. The campaign import function is now compatible with AdWords editor and the fact that you now will only be receiving one editorial email per account per day allows account management to be more efficient.
These upgrades are one of many recently publicised developments that MSN have announced over this past week, including that of Project Gatineau. This is also now under-way with the free web analytics service ready for beta testing. Although only for US advertisers at the moment this is a major jump for MSN competitiveness towards other major search engines.
Last week Microsoft signed an exclusive agreement with Facebook to be its third-party advertising platform and will begin to sell advertising for Facebook internationally in addition to the United States as a plan to increase Microsoft’s Advertising platform.
Kevin Johnson of Microsoft said: “This deal represents a major advertising syndication win for Microsoft, and signals a vote of confidence from one of our largest advertising partners.”
Whether this means that a collaboration of a live search box on Facebook (as Yahoo has on Bebo) will happen is still unknown. The day after the announcement was made, following reports of increases in its revenue, Microsoft promised further investments in advertising and search.
