Yahoo! & eBay Announce Ad Partnership

Looking to grow revenue, add users and improve their standing with advertisers, Yahoo! and eBay have announced an advertising partnership, in which Yahoo!'s search functionality will be integrated into the eBay tool bar. In addition, Yahoo! will use eBay-owned PayPal for transactions completed via Yahoo! properties, and also will act as the sole third-party provider of display ads on the eBay site. Online Sales To Top $200 Billion

Online sales -- including travel -- are projected to jump 20% to reach $211.4 billion this year, according to a study conducted by Forrester Research. E-sales, excluding travel, will account for $138 billion, based on the study's examination of 174 merchants. Read the article from Internet Week.

Microsoft Launches adCenter

After much planning, testing and hype, Microsoft launched adCenter, its automated keyword bidding system that is designed to lure advertisers away from rivals Google and Yahoo!, by holding out the promise of greater demographic and behavioral targeting, at the beginning of the month. Read more.
