Google Continues to Dominate Search Ad Market

Google reported earnings of $721.1 million for the second quarter of 2006, distancing itself from rival Yahoo!, which reported lower-than-anticipated revenues for the same period. Google also reported the addition of 1,152 employees during the quarter, and announced plans to integrate the radio advertising placement system DMark Broadcasting into its main operations. Yahoo! Delays Search Marketing Overhaul

Yahoo! is pushing back a planned upgrade to its search marketing platform. The upgrade, originally scheduled for the third quarter, will be delayed until at least the end of this year. Read more.
